I just wanted to pass along links to the final two Daily Journals over on Barclay Press (Day 9 and Day 10). It was really a lot of fun to post over there the past couple of weeks. It was also great to be part of The High Calling’s Blog Tour. (Thanks, Marcus, for inviting me to join!) I hope both of these small ventures have been helpful to you as well.
Next week, LL and I will resume our blog discussion of The Suburban Christian by Al Hsu. We’ll be focusing on chapter 2, for those who are reading the book as well. If you are reading (or have read) the book, consider posting along with us.
The sun is shining through the window right onto my desk as I type this morning. More than anything else, rays of sunshine that travel so far through so many obstacles to reach the earth represent the hope I have in Jesus. I hope you have a heart full of hope today as well.
Stacy — It’s good to see you!
I love your view of things, your descriptions. It keeps me coming back.
Have a good day!
Ted — Thanks for your encouragement about The Daily Journal. If there are things you’d like to interact on, feel free to post them here.
LL — Thanks for your kindness. It was good to think through a theme over on the DJ, and ideas about the resurrection life continue to swirl around and land briefly here and there in my thoughts.
Oh, my dear Charity. I loved Day 10. You have a good, gentle way with words… even hard ones.
And I just read Day 9. That thought about the questions going unanswered as we struggle through the creative process… it hit a tender spot.
Nice thought, too, that God participates in creativity as a process. Indeed, are we not ourselves a messy representation of His creativity in motion?
I love that picture… of you, and the sun, and the love of Jesus riding in on the rays. It gave me a warm feeling just hearing about it.
I just read a couple more over there and will finish them. You write well and what you’re writing about is well worth your effort to write and others to read. I do wish they’d have comments over there, as I like to interact, as you well (ha) know.
Charity, Thanks so much. I like that sunshine analogy. We had a nice dose of it up here today. A great reminder of the hope we have in the Sun of righteousness.
