Well, I’m up at the computer for the first time since the chemotherapy started on Thursday. This first round was a little rougher than I had imagined it would be. While I was being infused the first day, everything seemed fine, but then after being home about two hours, the nausea, vomiting and achiness set in. I ended up being admitted Friday evening for about 24 hours of fluids and IV medication to help control the symptoms.
I came home Saturday evening, and things are moving ahead very slowly. Please pray for perserverence during the next few days. Hopefully the nausea will subside in the next couple of days, and maybe the achiness will ease up by the end of the week. My hair is holding on so far — I may have another couple weeks for that.
Thanks for walking with me during this difficult time.
Charity,
Just thinking of and praying for you.
Checking in to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Peace, dear sister in Christ.

Charity,
I feel so bad that I missed this post. But am glad for the update. Thanks so much.
Praying for you.
Dear friends, your prayers and well wishes have been a blessing to me. I had to postpone radiation today as I am still trying to get a handle on the side effects of the chemotherapy. I covet your prayers. Hopefully radiation will begin on Thursday.
LL asked about work and finances — I am off work unpaid and do have several medical expenses (though thankfully I have insurance and can work at home some as I am able).
I appreciate the interest and prayers that so many of you are making regularly on my behalf, and I am trusting the Lord to provide my needs. I am willing to share my needs, but also want each of you to feel free to come here regularly without feeling any pressure to give money. Your concern means so much.
Charity, I’m thinking this means you’re having to take time from work, which means pay loss. And that you must also have increased expenses on top of this. Is it so? Can we help you? I hope you’ll let us know, even if privately.
Also, I’m thinking that it must be like a second job to deal with all the phone calls, emails, blog hellos, etc. Do you have a “point person” from your church or family or friends through whom we could direct things at times?
Thanks. (Take your time answering, as I know this is one more administrative task!
Praying for you today.
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
God will hold you in his arms of Love.
I may have to find a business reason to come to Indy, then I could tell you this in person.
Hang in there. Do your best to keep smiling, keep looking for things to be happy about and dwell on them. When the times get rough, remember we are all here and only an e-mail or phone call away!!
Praying…
Dianne
Can’t really say anything except, yes… yes, I’m here… but I wish I were there.
