Three years ago today, I first heard the word “cancer” referring to me.
It took a few more days to confirm the diagnosis and many months to treat it, but it all started with some pain three years ago today.
Over the next few days, I will no doubt be reflecting on all the Lord has done for me in the recent years. But today, three years later, I am healthy, and thankful.
Thanks for sharing, Charity. It’s encouraging to all of us to remember God’s faithfulness in your life.
Praise God! May your reflection not only comfort but encourage you for the years ahead!
Thankful for you and all that the Lord has done in your life! You have encouraged me in our friendship!

Dawn — Yours was such an encouraging comment. I didn’t realize your husband is a survivor. It really helps to hear other stories of survivorship!
Charity, my sincere congrats on your continued health. I just read your “one year ago today” post also, and you are building an annual memorial to the power and deliverance of God.
He doesn’t always choose to heal on earth, but we must always rejoice when he does.
My husband is an 8 year survivor, and I walked beside him every scary and painful step of the way. We, too, have celebrated every year God’s richest mercy, healing, and all that He used cancer to teach us in the process.
Don’t ever stop celebrating. Happy anniversary.
Dawn
